Book review : Finest 15

I recently started reading this book called Finest 15 by Dr. Anamika Sen.
Since the author is from a medical field the book too is based on the life of doctor named Ananya Singh. About her quest for being a doctor and finding the love of her life.
The author in her debut book wanted to write something about life, dreams and destiny in the middle of love , pain and separation.

Let's begin :

About the plot.

It is a story of a young girl , who was a bright student. Her family was well to go at first , she also attended school until one day when her mother was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Her father had to choose between her studies and her mother's medications. They moved to a small slum and they were extremely poor. Her father had left them to collect money for the treatment and she was left to serve her mom.
After the death of her mother, Ananya's father left her at an orphanage , where she spent a few months , fell in love with a boy called Ankit. She also gave speech therapy to Guddu who suffered from Down's syndrome.
The book is named Finest 15 aptly because it was the 15th year of Ananya's life that changed her life forever.
She was adopted by a rich family and finally after years of hard work she managed to own a chain of hospitals.
Well, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer just like her mother , she had one month to live. Wherein her colleagues suggested her to get married to Dr. Tapas Verma, a young divorcee neurosurgeon who was impotent according to them but turns out he was a frigid. Ananya asks him to marry her.
He agrees without knowing that she had cancer and was in her end stages.
Eventually she slips into a coma and Shefa, Ananya's colleague gives Tapas her diary to read. After reading her diary Tapas feels closer to Ananya than ever. He feels she was the one he was waiting for his entire life.
The later parts of the story are about how Tapas enlightened hope of life in her, how he built her hospitals, how he loved her unconditionally. Also how he deals with the conspiracy against Ananya by her colleagues.

What I liked about this book :

Well , first of all the book is very interesting.
I started reading the book, After two chapters I was completely hooked onto the  book.
I wanted to read more. I loved the fact that the plot is in 2025. I loved the way the story was framed, had perfect scripts from her diary , her past life , a letter from her to Tapas. It was amazing. While I was reading it, I was completely connected to the story.
The story is simple to relate.
The love angle , the exes , the ambitious girl are all relatable.
There was love, separation, betrayal, family, ambition and so many other emotions in the story. Totally loved it.
Why I would recommend this book to you?
Well, firstly the book is 160 pages. It can be finished in a day or two.
Secondly its a fictional story , hence you cannot predict the next part.
Thirdly it's worth a good read for some refreshment.

A big thankyou to the author for sending me a signed copy.

Book Review : What was My FAULT?

BOOK : What was my fault?
Author : Aziz Padiwala
Published : 2015

About the author :

Aziz is a 29 year old author, from Kuwait. He describes himself as a fun-loving and simple guy.
He start writing merely 3 years ago. One year into writing  he wrote his first novel - WAS IT MY FAULT? He oftens travels to India. His book is doing quite well in Kuwait as well as India.

PLOT :

The story revolves around Farhaan and Zoya.
Farhaan being a rather workoholic guy. He works in the field of Public relations.
At the age of 18, he moved to Kuwait to lend a hand in this father's business, with no interest in the business of garments. Soon after his Father passed away, leaving him and his mother all by themselves. It took him great deal of hardwork to reach to a high position in the field of PR.
Soon, his family gets invited to his cousin's wedding in India. He hadn't been to India since then.
He flew to India with mixed feelings.
On his first day in Kandale, India, he happen to meet a 21 year old beautiful girl named Zoya.
It was love at first site for him. He couldn't stop thinking about her.
The next day on his walk to the nearest garden, he was surprised to see Zoya.
HE mustered the courage to talk to her. Soon it began, their chain of meetings..
Farhaan was in love. He was totally into the girl but something kept burdening him.
It was something about his past. He wanted to tell Zoya before getting into a relationship with her..
Will he tell her?
what if she leaves? what if she chooses to stay? WHAT If...
He tells her... he tells her everything. He was a divorcee... She accepts him. Their beautiful relationship starts.
Within a few days, Farhaan had to leave for Mumbai and soon after that to Kuwait.
He notices Zoya's changed attitude towards him .. It makes him desperate to see her, something had gone wrong. He leaves from Mumbai to meet Zoya...
And what happens next leaves him heartbroken.... without hope...

What I liked about the story:

The story is about the current situation. It revolves around love, heart break. Reconciliation, rejection and regret. It highlights about the current situation of the divorcees as well as many guys who go through a break up because of reasons as silly as ‘ my friends won’t approve of you’
The story is quite intriguing especially from chapter 9

There were moments when I wanted Farhaan and Zoya to express their love for each other.
It clearly highlights the changes in the attitude of people in  love, how childish and happy they feel at times, how they can’t stop thinking about each other. Its young love!
The Writing language is quite simple and easy to grasp.

Word by me :

Well, I wanted more of the story. I didn't want it to end so soon. I wanted the end to be more of a romantic one. The ending for me was quite abrupt. Farhaan should have taken the leap of faith. Come on, Aren't we humans after all?
As the writer says, The story is not about a Farhaan or a Zoya, its about the current situation, how love is still status symbol and not merely simple as it should be.
What was Farhaan's fault? He was a divorcee hence was misjudged. Does he have to be abide by the tag  society gave him? WHY? Why are there different set of norms for singles and married?
Its sad that the society fails to give importance to things like love. Why should it?
We are never taught to love. We are taught to hate. How? Well, I have heard people say I hate him or I hate her, but love? nah! Love comes at the cost of society's approval. You can't love someone the SOCIETY doesn't approve of.

Well, its important to realize that if love can come with failures, stupid things, bad habits, then it can definitely come with a complicated past. Love doesn't judge.

I would recommend this book to 17 years plus audience. The book clearly makes us question the attitude of the society. It surely makes us put our thinking caps on.

Poetry: The girl who got raped 2.

This is the second episode.

I was 15 then
I am 18 now
And all you say after meeting me is 'I met a rape victim, wow'

Oh society you make me smile
Wanting social awareness and acting like all crimes are fine

You are angered by rapes and offended by murders.
You post is all on social media
And act as supporters

Thousands of pending cases
When questioned, you give us
'I feel sorry for you' faces.

I live in a society
Where its okay to get raped
Its casual to be eve teased
Its random to be thrown acid on
Humanity, where are you? Gone?

What's not okay is
Me,  abusing
Or asking for a condom at a chemist's shop.
For I'm a girl
I should be only busy with self grooming

You think I'm a showpiece to you're eye?
Say that once more
I'll friendzone you and also make you my bhai

They say, she smokes, she drinks, she wears shorts clothes.
Why wudnt she get raped.
Clearly she called for it

You speak stupid
You call for being shot in your head.
Oh wait, I saw you picking up on that woman,
Are you sure, you don't want her in your bed?

You want to fuck a woman
But marry a virgin
You throw acid on her,
Clearly you can't face rejection
You call her a slut
Because she wouldn't sleep with you
You desire only her
Oh yeah She's out of the blue

I looked up the dictionary's to find words equivalent to 'slut' for a man
There are none
Oh patriarchal society
You think women are objects of fun?

Its happened to a saree
Its happened to a burqa
It was fixed by their parents
Under the concept of arranged marriage
A dignified way for a life of prestige.

My sisters are getting raped too
No full time coverage of it on media
Rather a small line moving at the end of the screen
What's being covered above is
Its mandatory to give protection to cows

The rapist didn't rape my body
He raped my mind too
He didn't fuck my vagina
He fucked my soul too
Yet I forgave him
For he is gone.
What about this society
The society that violates me everyday,
For I'm forged of steel too
I am here to stay.

Poetry: The girl who got raped.

Hey guys. This is an episodic poetry.
The first episode is a story of a girl who gets raped, the changes she faces and how the society labels her.
The second episode is the rant of the girl speaking about the ills of the society and coming to the conclusion that she'll fight back.
Here's the first one:

I walked down the street evryday
To school it was the shortest way.

I went on foot to save my pocket money
For I could buy myself a stuffed bunny.

I walked down the street with my friends
They were amazing I must commend.

It was our usual way back from school
Unless we wanted to roam around and break some rules

That day I took the street alone
We had a fight last night over the phone

Little did I know I was being followed
All my carefree attitude, I quickly swallowed.

I walked fast, I walked faster
The footsteps came close
They came closer

They very next thing I remember is waking up in a dumpster
Alive. Sadly
My body, it was paining badly
I bleeded from places, I shouldn't be openly talking about
I understood what had happened.
I understood it without a doubt

I couldn't move
So I lay down there
Till somebody found me
How will I face anyone?
They will judge me
Oh! I should've died but I survived.

Unfortunately! We get only a single life
Now I'll never be someone's daughter or someone's wife

They found me after many hours of searching
My condition, soul crushing

An FIR was launched.
They took me to the hospital
Where they again had me naked for a medical examination
Again I went through humiliation.

I hadn't seen my parents yet
They'd still love me
It wasn't my fault, I know they'll get

When I saw them
There faces were filled with fret
'Why did we send her to school?' Being their only regret

My family didn't see me and neither did my friends
Everything changed that moment
I couldn't apprehend

For days I got blamed
For days I couldn't look at my body
Facing it all , it felt like hell
Every moment I wanted to yell
It wasn't my fault I wanted to tell

After months of searching
They found my culprit
He was no familiar face
When I asked him 'why'
He had no reason but lust
His actions shattered my soul into dust

We were not rich
We couldn't fight the case
He got out on bail
What had happened, from his mind he had erased
He even got married and lived with grace.

I had to cover my body full
And my face with a veil
I bet even dead people got treated with respect.
In his lie, I was forced to live
Having a soul yet dead
Acquaintance was all I craved.
Soon the society named me 'the girl who got raped'
The girl who got raped.

Poem: It does'nt matter

You felt broken
You felt lost
You felt unworthy
Guess what ?
It doesn't matter.

It doesn't matter to people
It doesn't matter to life.
All that matters is what you did to end that ongoing strife

You felt like a failure
You felt lost
You felt without hope
Afterall at every point  life isn't so dope.

But you stood there anyways,
Confused, lost and alone.
With the sole purpose of finding your home.
Days went by and so did the nights
You hung in there.
I know it wasn't a delight.

It didn't matter what you had lost
It didn't matter what you previously were
It didn't matter what you felt
All that mattered was what you had become and  with new situations how you dealt.

New level of life.
Next level of you.
I know Time flew.
All that ever matters is what you are;
What you choose to do
Your actions speak volumes of you.

You stood there, with anxiety
You stood there with fear
You stood there without knowing if the end was near.
I couldn't be more proud
That's what separates you from the crowd.

You wanted to give up
You wanted to light yourself on fire
Instead you revoked your soul with your inner desire.
You started slow but stayed long.
You felt weak at first but came out strong.
You continued without any second thoughts
With full strength you fought.

You won.
Oh you won!
Finally proving you are not a zero
For you decided to become your own Hero.

Book review : Half girlfriend

Book : Half girlfriend.
Author : Chetan Bhagat

Half girlfriend is a modern age romantic novel based on
the unclear nature of relationship between a boy and a girl,
something more than friends but not in a relationship.
Modern age is strange because people find someone they like , fall in love but won't consider it a relationship. People need time to figure out what type their relation is. I am sure all of us has been here.

Chetan Bhagat commented, "Half girlfriend, to me, is a unique Indian phenomenon, where boys and girls are not clear about their relationship status with each other. A boy may think he is more than friends with the girl, but the girl is still not his girlfriend. Hence, I thought we needed a term like
'Half girlfriend'. Because, in India, that is what most men get."

PLOT :

This is a story of a boy Madhav Jha coming from a rural background, taking admission in St Stephens and falling in love with a modern, rich delhi girl, Riya Somani.
Both Riya and Madhav entered the college through sports quota.
Both were good at basketball. They get to know each because of their game and in the process Madhav falls in love with Riya. However, He demands to get physical and Riya decides to leave. She later marries her best friend meanwhile Madhav decides to go back to Bihar and help his mother to run a school. He then happens to run into Riya and she helps him get the Bill Gates fund for his school.
She leaves faking that she has lung cancer and has about 3 months to live.
After three years,  through the revelations in her journal Madhav sets out on his journey to new New York to find the love of his life.

What I like about this book?

Well this book is quite FILMY. There is a lot of drama. There are a lot of emotions. There is a Friendzone. There are lies. There are Truth. There is 'judaai'.  There is the search for someone you love. There is the hope of finding them. There is fighting for someone you love and ofcourse a happy ending
Well, The novel is slow at the start, the problems of coming from a rural background to a high class school are highlighted. However when he uses the words " deti hi toh de varna cut le" makes me feel a little disgusted and question the  mentality of rural people or even men.
Anyways, the books picks up its graph after the fight, it actually re-intrigues us when Riya and Madhav meet again. Also the climax is amazing. I wish real lives had such endings too.
However I find it too melodramatic at some points. I'm sure a lot of people might not.

Word by me :

Well, if romance is your genre then must read. An 'okay' story I would say.
I personally did not want to read it till I read the first half of the book.
Try your luck with it. I find the title that over hypes the book.
I would suggest an audience of 18 years up for this book.
Well, enjoy reading it.

Book Review: The Alchemist

Book : The Alchemist
Author : Paulo Coelho

Plot :

Its the story of a young shepherd, Santiago, who is disturbed by the same recurring dream. One day he decides to see a fortune teller. She interprets the dream as a prophecy and suggests him to find the treasure.
Santiago sets out on his journey to find a treasure in the pyramids of the Egypt. On his way, he meets The king of Salem, the love of his life- Fatima, an englishman and an alchemist.
Each imparting various lessons for him to learn.
The story revolves around the saying, "what you desire passionately, the universe conspires for it".

What I liked about this book ?

This book is quite thrilling. Once you are intrigued, you won't get up to do anything else.
I personally was so intrigued, I finished reading the book in 4 hours straight.
So the plot is written Allegorically. It revolves around various life lessons.

l. The law of attraction - if you desire something, the universe conspires to make it into reality.

2. Leave your comfort zone
The shepherd leaving his town to travel places to find the riches, gives us a fair idea about the risks one needs to take to achieve something.

3. Change is good
It also gives us a fair idea about CHANGE.
Change is difficult, change is scary but finally it leads to something better, all we need to do is persevere.

4. Never give up
Santiago hangs in there. He gets back up after facing all the downfalls.

5. Keep moving forward
There were times when Santiago had nothing to look forward to, he was sad, he didn't know where he would end up, with all the mixed emotions He kept moving forward.

6. Have faith in your journey

There are a whole bunch of life lessons to take up from this book.

Word by me :

Well, I would suggest an audience of 17 years and above to read this book.
It really sends chills down my spine with its thrill.
Also, it has a lot of lessons to take. Being brave, courageous, fearless, being a few of them.
This book surely motivates you to leave your comfort zone and strive to be something better, someone better.

The day I fell.

The day I fell, I wish I could yell,
I didn't know how to get up
I didn't know how to move
Everything went numb.
I got stuck.
Stuck Into what I call 'The zone' where you have to travel alone..
The more I stayed there, the more I sunk,

I sunk into memories,
memories of me,
Of what I was, what I wanted and what I had become.
It filled me with fear and resentment
It hurt,
it was lonely as hell,
oh I wish I could yell..
The more I stayed there,
the more I sunk.

I lost my smile;
I lost my dignity and  my worth ,
Everyday It took a part of me,
everyday I lost something new,
The 'me' I thought I was, was no longer there,
I searched for myself everywhere..
In places I most visited, in sites I most loved, in books I most read,
I was meant to be no where..
I stayed there longer, with no soul, unhealthy body and mind
To everything else, I had turned blind.

My ship sank.
So I learnt to swim,
found the shore.
Explored new lands, wishing everything was in my hands.
I felt hollow,
Many new truths I still couldn't swallow.

Until one day,
I don't know what changed. I asked myself;
How long was I going to be stuck here?
Forever? Hopeless and desolated?
Is this what I was?
Suddenly, I felt empowered.
I found myself filled with willpower.
I found my confidence,
I found my purpose,
I laughed, life - aren't you a circus?

I built a new ship, set the sails high.
It was time I bid the zone a goodbye.
On my last walk there,
I found my soul, resting near a river,
The river of hope.
My body as healthy as new, no wonder time flew.
Estacy filled my veins.
Indeed a medicine to all my pain.
I asked my soul, "where had she been?"
"I never left," she replied,
"I was waiting for you to find me,
besides hope I reside."

I was built anew.
With pieces of a new puzzle.
Oh they made my soul dance, waiting for the new 'me' to be given a chance.
The loss I felt earlier were the parts of me I longer needed.
I laughed on remembering, back then how I pleaded.
I looked for myself everywhere
I forgot to look within.
Funny how It's true,
Salvation lies within.
Salvation lies within.

What is it about writing..

I don't know what is it about writing that I keep coming back to it.
I first started writing, ofcourse writing 'seriously' if you would call it, around 3 years ago. I was depressed I had so many emotions running in my mind. I was a moderately expressive person back then.
Depression because I had started taking everything too seriously.
So depression first started the addiction.
Then It moved on to writing for magazines, or even writing my hosting scripts.
I wrote when I was heartbroken
I wrote when I was in love
I wrote for the person I loved
I wrote for my family.
And now I am back at square one. Starting again from the stratch,
With my addiction - writing.
I know it's going to be my let out.
What's yours?

3. The oath of the vayuputras
It is the story of an ordinary Tibetan man whom the legend turned into a God -The Neelkanth.
The story revolves in The Indus valley civilization around 1900BC. The inhabitants called this the - land of Meluha, created by Lord Ram.

Love.

What is love? Want, need, control? What is it!
Well there's no exact definition of the emotions we feel.

Getting those butterflies in your stomach- seeing the person you love..
Loving your work.. working hard to achieve your goals.
Your parents love you! Unconditionally.
Love has endless descriptions.

It's important to know which ones apply where.
Most important is to love yourself.
Why?
Oh come on! Loving yourself and treating yourself right is extremely important.
It's only when you love yourself can you love others.
More importantly, why do you want people to love and pamper you..
Expecting from others means giving them the control on your actions. Their response whether good or bad is definitely going to affect you.

How to love yourself?
The same way you expect others to love you. To make you understand whats right, to be with you when you are low.
Learn to analyze the situation from a third person perspective. Be impartial.

Love though is an important feeling.
Why?
We all want to be loved. Humans we are!
Loving our family, work, that special someone makes us feel lively. It makes us want to become better.  We all need love in some way or the other.

What I have learnt is..
Love is endless. You can't claim to love some one or even your work when you keep on expecting the same positive results. Loving your work is going to make you successful no doubt. But with time be patient.
Loving someone is going to make you better and contented. With time, be patient. Just learn to lose a little bit of you to find an enormous bit of that person.
Everything gets better with time.
Most importantly... love everything!
We are so scared to love but fearless to hate.
Don't fear losing out on what you love.
You'll eventually lose it with so much of negative emotions
Don't feed the need to control evryone
Set it free, if it's meant to be it will be!
( Too filmy a saying but incredibly true)

Until then,
Achieve your own little milestones. Reward yourself. Push yourself up. Love yourself enough to lift yourself up.
Be your own hero!

PS. Something I felt.. mixed emotions.

Success tips 2

WHO doesn't want success? who wants to live average?
Is only talent enough for success?
Hard work beats Talent  if Talent doesn't work hard,

1. Goal setting
It is very important to set a goal. A LIFE GOAL! What you want to do with your life, where do you see yourself in the next 5 years or 10 years and what not.
Not working for any goal is as good as merely existing.
Don't just set life goals. Divide your goals, into monthly goals, weekly goals, daily goals.
Take a book. Think! Start writing.

2. Time table
Set up a fixed routine. FOLLOW it. BECOME AN EARLY BIRD.
Adjust if needed.

3. Analysis
Analyze yourself. Your weakness, your strength, your emotions.
Improve and grow.

4. Make a vision board. or a dream book
Whatever long time or short time goals you want to achieve. write them down on a paper in a big handwriting. decorate it. paste pictures. Write them in a book or on a bulletin board.
Making a vision board  makes you positive and focused on your goals.
Remember to write all Positive Points about your personality too.
READ IT EVERYDAY. STAY MOTIVATED.
Here's mine.

5. Pray.
Make time to calm your mind and thank GOD for the amazing gift of life...
Praying sets our frequencies on a higher point.
We feel energized.

Try implementing these for now. We'll work on more tips later.
Thanks. Do follow.

Tips to develop SELF CONFIDENCE

1. Accept yourself
Most teens today lack acceptance. We don't accept our body, we don't accept our looks, we don't accept ourselves for what we are. Well , its not our problem. Its how we've been brought up.
We've always been reminded about someone who is better than us , someone who is prettier than us and what not.
One thing that we must understand is everyone runs a different race, everyone undergoes different situations, everyone is unique.
Hence, Acceptance is important. Its the first step to a higher self esteem.
Once you accept yourself completely, the people around you and going to accept you completely too.
The more you accept yourself, the more you flourish.

2. Have a good SELF IMAGE
How the world sees you is not important, how YOU see yourself is. Self image is our personal opinion about ourselves. It is our perception about us. Always see oneself full of self confidence and achieving the things one wants. Always believe that You can and you will.
Once we start seeing ourselves as a strong, independent person , our self confidence increases tremendously.

3. Never under-estimate yourself.
Most people under estimate their abilities, mostly because of their past failures. Well, past failures are our stepping stones to success.
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” ― Thomas A. Edison.
Its  important  to know your true potentials and that can be done by exploring the different opportunities  or challenges you face daily.

4.  Never compare yourself.
Everyone out here has a different story to tell. Don't compare your life with theirs.
Their circumstances are very different than yours. Everyone faces problems in some form or the other.
So if you are having a really tough time and your friends aren't Its absolutely OK.  Just keep working hard for yourself.

5. Detach from negative environment.
Our environment, the people we are in contact with daily, play an important role in shaping our personality. If you are surrounded by a crowd of people with low self- esteem, it won't take you long to lose yours. If you are surrounded by people who are focused on their goals, it wont't take long for you to focus on yours.
If the people around you discourage you, its time to let them go. Stop investing your time and efforts in people who won't value it.
Make yourself your best investment.

6. Know your strengths and weaknesses.
Knowing yourself is the best tool to develop your self confidence.
Know the things you are good at, know the things you are bad at, know the things that irritate you, know the things that make you happy. Once you know yourself , you are going to work accordingly. You are going to improve. You are not going to be ashamed of your flaws and you are going to be proud of your imperfections. This will help you improve your self image and gain a lot of confidence.

Be positive and keep improving. :)

Success tips

Now is the moment to get up and really work for what you want, now is the moment to do what you really WANT  to do. NOW NOW NOW!!!
What better moment than NOW? The future?
Not really. Wouldn't the future be ' the present ' by the time you actually reach it?

I always emphasize on the importance of thoughts.
Thoughts + Present = Better Future.

Use every moment wisely by implementing the following -

1. Desire + Passion

Every one of us has certain long term and short term goals. However most of us take the long term ones very lightly. All you  need to do is ask yourself, " Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?"   And " How are you planning to achieve your goals?"
Not all are going to have the undying desire to take the pain to actually work for your goals.
There are two types of people-
1. people who work passionately and are extremely focused on what they want.
2. the other who work recklessly to help the type 1 people complete their goals. i.e they work for the type 1 people
Which one are you?

Is only desire enough?
Not every desire is fulfilled unless its worked upon with endless passion.
Passion is a quality that keeps you going. Its the innate, compelling emotion of  achieving what you want no matter how hard be it.

Hence, always Work your desires with endless passion.

2. Time.

Time and Tide waits for none, a stitch in time saves nine. so many proverbs we have written essays on. Did we actually act on it?
Time is the only capital a human being has and only thing he can't afford to lose - Thomas Edison
Any activity practiced over a long time gives us an expertise in it.
Time perfects us.
Hence use your time wisely now and reap the benefits in future.

3. Setting out our priorities.

There are a number of things you do daily, out of which some are unwanted and some are absolutely necessary while the others are not important right now but are important in the near future.
Not all of us are very patient to put in regular efforts.
Setting your priorities help you focus on your short term as well as long term goals.
Most of the self help books do recommend this habit for success As it helps you to actually get what you want. Always strive for a balance between your leisure time and your study time etc.
You cannot achieve anything if you just study 12-14 hours a day without proper breaks and other activities.
Hence list out your priorities and start working.

4. Self Discipline.

Most of the people can be very good till step 3 i.e - setting their priorities , however most of them lack the ability to actually stick to them and work accordingly.
Its easier to list out our priorities but we can never actually implement them without self discipline.
Well, when you know what you really want to do with your life, Self discipline is just another habit.
Sir Robin Sharma calls it TOUGH LOVE. As we have to be strict with ourselves so that life's a little easy on us.
Prepare a time table consisting of the tasks or hobbies you want to cultivate and give specific time to each. Follow it for over a week and analyse yourself weekly. List out the things you've missed and add on some corrections to your time table.
And Over time you'll truly master whatever you wanted.

5. Learn to say NO

Always learn to say NO to things that are really not helping you grow.
You may have a bunch of friends who won't let you invest your time on yourself, or you may be into too much gaming etc.
Learn to say NO to such things right now so that you can enjoy them later.

6. Will power

In order to achieve anything your Will power is the thing that won't let you quit. Some people are so eager to achieve their goal that their will power helps them to persist in extreme situations. They could stay up all night without tea or coffee and have full dedication to their work. They would not watch TV or check their Whtsapp for days and still not feel the urge to waste their time.
Will power won't let you QUIT.

7. Dedication and Focus

Always be focused on what you need and how you need  your life to be.
There are ups and downs in everyone's life. You cannot focus on your downs and stop working for your better future. Always focus on the bright side of your dreams and work hard with full dedication to achieve it. Nothing in life is constant , not even your troubles.
Things might seem too hard right now but every cloud has a silver lining.
These harsh things are going to brush your skills and make you worthy enough of your life goals.

8. Believe in yourself.

Always believe in yourself no matter what.
What you think of yourself is way more important than what people think of you.
How you picture yourself is way more important than how people picture you.
You know yourself the best. Never stop believing in yourself and the beauty of your dreams.

Good Luck!

The Past.

Have you ever been troubled by the past?
It may be the past incidents, past relationships,  past mistakes, or the  risks you din't take.
Well, most people don't really learn from the past.
We keep the past in our minds just to remind ourselves- how stupid we have been and then what?
we let the past haunt us for a lifetime. Often the past comes to us as flashbacks leading to overthinking and "I don't know what to do with my life anymore , am such a loser" feeling.

Well, Here are some ways that can help :)

1. Acceptance

Most of us don't want to accept our mistakes. Our ego doesn't allow that, does it?
It says- How can I make such a mistake? Am the elder one here,  I cannot be wrong, what are the people going to say?
Its a never ending blame game!
Ego is just a social mask. You need not energize it and slowly it'll drain away.

All you need to do is just relax, close your eyes and talk to yourself.
"Yes I have made mistakes. Its okay. I forgive myself. It won't happen Next time. I learnt a lesson
Thankyou Nature"

We are not born wise or perfect. It's absolutely Normal to make mistakes. Whats not normal is NOT making mistakes. Being stagnant by the fear of being hurt or failing is worse than actually facing things and learning. Stagnancy is a lifetime regret.
We are all humans. We learn, we adapt and we grow.
Its like Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection which says ONLY  the Fittest of all survives.
Likewise, only the ones who learn survive and do wonders.
Always keep the lessons in mind and not the pain.

2. Let go

After the self help talk. Its time to let go off the burden. It was never yours to bear.
Its like letting go off the balloon and not having to wait for it to come back. The past doesnt Affects you anymore, You have moved on.
Also, one can be occupied by acting on future goals to be accomplished.

3. Live in the moment.

One cannot set his journey to the future if he has his feet still in the past.
Most won't use our thoughts and reasoning and rather look up to people to advice us, which is fine but what's not fine is not acting on it.
We'll ask a lot of people, make ourselves feel good about the advice and perhaps, we'll someday start following it, SOMEDAY
Gods of Procastination!

We forget that our power to change our thoughts lies merely with us.
WE ARE OUR MASTERS. WE are the Heroes.
Our thoughts start as a chain reaction. They are reactive as a free radical. One sad thought and bang.. there we are in the Lost zone.
Thoughts decides our feelings, and feelings tell us on what frequency we are on.
Good thoughts always Uplift our frequencies.
When you feel low,  Deliberately Uplift your feelings and your frequencies as you only attract people with the similar frequencies in your life.
Hence Simplest way to avoid Complexity is to live for now and Live in the now.
Think about your priority this very moment and focus on it.
Now is the time you can change yourself and your whole life.
Exciting isn't it?

4. Never lose hope.

You were supposed to achieve some target and you couldn't do that. Feels like a failure.
Now you think you are dumbest person ever. Look at all your friends and then look at you.
   or
You have had a rough break up because someone left you or cheated on you
now you think the people are jerks and mean

uh-oh mate! Don't run to the conclusions so soon. Let them come to you.
Firstly, Don't ever quit on yourself. Just get clear with your priorities and work hard and be confident.
Life's a bigger test than your examiner can ever set.

Secondly, no need to get into a "I hate everyone" box.
Rather, explore the people around you. Everyone has something that can be learnt.
People are beautiful.

And also, if you wanted to take risks in the past about your career etc and were afraid to take them, because you din't want to fail, well then grab the very next opportunity you get.

And don't lose hope just keep going.

5. Enjoy the journey

Life's full of ups and downs. Guess what? Its the Ups and downs that keep us going.
The downs give us a new perspective and the ups groom our personality.

Theres Such a big wide universe out there, billions of people out there,
Our problems are just too tiny when compared.
At this very moment, some of you are reading my article, some one out there might be dying,
the soldiers are on the borders keeping us safe, and what not.
Infact after facing different situations you'll realize that it was just waste of time for having spent so much energy thinking about them.

Its all about enjoying your life.
Let the past not break you but let it instill in you the good virtues to make you.

Karma and Reincarnations. My understanding.

why were you born to your parents and not to some movie-star?
why do u belong to a rich family and not a poor one and vice versa?
Well, these are some things we never felt like questioning inspite of having these thoughts in our minds. We somehow accepted it as this is who we are and this is where we belong.
The answer to such questions can be determined by the Law of Karma-You get what you give or As you sow , so shall you reap.
Well, as I said earlier, we are all interminable sources of energy. Our body dies a mortal death but our souls are immortal. We are put back on the earth in some form or the other. I would like to call this as "The GOD's Population Control" , where the energy is indiminishable and the souls are limited. Every soul on the earth has had N number of past lives and rebirths.
Most of the people in our present lives are related to us due to our past life connections and past karmic accounts with them be it good or bad.
Are you aware of the past life- regression therapy?
Past life regression is a technique that uses hypnosis to recover what practitioners believe are memories of past lives or incarnations, though others regard them as fantasies or delusions or a type of confabulation.
There have been CLOSE TO DEATH experiences by a few people across the world, a few mentioned that the faint images of their loved ones flashed before them, some say - they were an external entity watching their own body and their loved ones.
Well, my point being, believe it or not, we are pure souls and we are reincarnations.
Our lives are a result of our past lives. However we cannot change the past. Infact we do not remember our past lives. Hence the present life is a new book that is ours to fill with a new set of experiences and a whole new journey.
There has always been a separate account for our good karma and bad karma. One bad deed cannot be compensated by two good deeds or four good deeds. The deeds we do today are going to affect our future. In other words: ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES.
For an example,
The day you are in a hurry to reach somewhere and it is then you reach the place the latest.
Has it ever happened to you? Ofcourse, I believe this has happened to almost everyone atleast for once. What do we do in such situation? We often blame  others and our Luck- 'Meri toh Kismat Kharab hai'.
Its not your luck that is making you suffer, its the negative thoughts that you  have radiated out at some point or the other.
Have you ever planned a revenge for someone who has hurt you in some way or the other? if yes, then don't waste your time, the next time someone hurts you, just let go and let karma play its role.
How someone treats you is their karma, how you RESPOND to it is yours.
Respond and not react?  yes, reaction is always negative and spontaneous action whereas a response is positive and thoughtful action.
Sakyong Mipham, the head of Shambhala bhuddist lineage has quoted,
"Karma moves in two directions, If we act virtuously the seed we plant will result in happiness, if we act non-virtuously suffering results"
To lead a better life , do good deeds and don't let the bad experiences demotivate your actions.
Consciousness is the defining property of Humans. It distinguishes us from other life forms. We are aware of our surroundings, we are aware of our own existence, we are rational in our decisions. Then why not use our conscience to its fullest potential. I'd say, the past is gone but this very present moment is ours to live to its fullest. How? By not thinking about the past and not fearing the future. And being totally present in this very moment . According to me our karma is affected by our thoughts. Use your thoughts to build a positive future. A positive thought is going to give you a positive karma which is inturn going to affect your present life and your next life.

Thoughts

Ever wandered into the deep thinking zone?
Ever thought of the monotonous schedule of working your entire life and dying in the end anyways?
Ever thought of your own existence? Why do I exist? What is the purpose of my life?
Well, yes this was me when I first began to understand the simple truths about life. In the transition phase I bumped into new doors everyday and every door gave me a new key that took me into a different world- a world of Self Knowledge and Self Awareness.
Well, the start I'd say was quite boring. When my mother first taught me the basics of life skills, the only reaction I gave was "HOW IMPRACTICAL!" but then She's my mother, I had to learn.
In the course of time I could acknowledge the immense power of our mind and I am still acknowledging it.
and would love to share it with everyone.
Ever heard about the law of conservation of energy?
it states that,, energy cannot be created or destroyed but it can be transformed from one form to another. In the same way, We are pure souls which emit a lot of energy by the means of our thoughts. Our thoughts make our life.
We are all born here and no matter how rich or poor, how tall or short ,we are all gonna die one day, then whats the use of these hardships we face everyday? why study for 15 years and do a job, get married, have kids if it all ends up in mortality?
I had this thought in the beginning and then I was taught about the concept of KARMA.
Its not the start or the end but the Journey that matters. We individual souls are here for our own salvation and this journey is purely ours to complete. We do have a powerful tool of our THOUGHTS in our hands.
Sir  Robin Sharma once quoted, "Our external life reflects our internal life". Our external life is our surroundings, our loved people, our academics etc. and our internal life is the state of our subconscious mind. Our thoughts work in a series of chains, one disturbing thought and we get more disturbed, one happy thought and we are happier the very next moment.
Our life is a result of our own thoughts. Negative thoughts lead to a negative life and Positive to a positive one.
Our thoughts have frequencies. They work on the principle of "LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE".  People and events on the same frequencies are attracted into our life.  People on the same thought frequencies connect better.  Our thoughts drive us to act and our actions lead to our destiny. The more positive our thoughts , the more better things happen to us.
But its not easy to maintain calm at the heat of the moment, not easy to emit positivity all the time..
lets learn it in the blogs coming up!
